There are also free diving instructors that can teach you how to hold your breathe longer. You will find that you need to learn about free diving safety. It is a must for any one intending to hold their breathe.
Swimming is unique in the sports world due to asymmetric breathing requirements.
We have less than a second for air intake in Butterfly.
In every other sport, breathing is symmetrical for intake and exhaust.
I do hypoxic training drills whenever possible to increase lung efficiency.

At first I thought it meant you got 3 breaths for the full 100… I was very worried that that was the beginner workout.
