  1. I just started swimming at 47 and just started getting up at 445 am so I can get to the pool by 5..been going for about 2 weeks now and today I hit 37 laps for the first time in a 25 yrd pool…I hope to hit 40 tomorrow and just keep pushing to get better.

  4. Learned swimming at age 15 but did not keep it up for a very long time. Now that I’m 61 and have worn out and hurting joints from doing other types of sports and exercises I have now returned to swimming as my source of exercise. I limp walking to the pool but once I’m in the pool, I don’t limp anymore.

I swim because it does good to my body, soul and spirit and it helps me to be able to fight with every day's problem and be happy again.   8. Learnt to swim when I was a small kid 5-6 years old, then hasn't swam for 30+ years except for occasional short dips. Then in the process of teaching my niece and nephew how to swim, I discover a swimming pool near my place and rediscover my love of swimming.
    When swimming, my mind is focus on doing every stroke correctly and efficiently and time just seems to fly. The feeling of being one with the water when doing the strokes well is just amazing. I feel like I can just go on swimming forever and is always disappointed when my booked time slot is up.

  9. For me: Swimming is physically pleasing and psychologically easing! I rate it on par with extremely good sex and the imaginations of freedom, flying, surfing and on top of that naturally brain induced endorphins. 1000 words are not enough for me to say how I feel inside about swimming!

  10. I didn’t discover the joy of swimming until later in life, my goal is to swim freestyle .. more than 5-6 strokes .. I started swimming in the sea during lockdown and loved it. No way will I be able to swim in the sea during the winter and the pools are closed again, I may not swim again until the spring and that makes me really fed up.

  15. I swim to get out of the fear in my heart and mind. I know swimming for very long time before but I really don't know how to swim long distance so I started swimming group classes after continues effort I start to learn breath techniques, and still learning swim technique to go longer and fast. Hardest part is still I fear to do flip turn, which make me feel uncomfortable. Sure I'll learn how to do it. Over all I believe swimming will change my bad situation into positive everyday.

  19. I learned to swim as an adult about 4 years ago and just fell in love. I’m finally back in the water. However it’s only 1 day a week. I hope I get some of my speed back as I’ve slowed considerably. I also strength train 4-5 days a week. Swimming makes me feel so accomplished!

  25. I lost my hope to get back to be Hal they and swimming… I’ve been to ICU twice in less than 6 months. Problems with a mass in my growth. Now I have so many complications… I’m crying so right now. I’m so sad.. swimming was my everything.

  27. In the pool with goggles on, ear plugs in, and the wall to touch, I feel good about myself for going swimming another morning. Then I feel really good that finished!

  28. I'm 56 and have made serious gains in my swimming since I started using your app in August on a free trial. I kept the subscription and really love to save the daily workouts. I do those when I'm short on time before or after my 12 hour shifts so that I can at least have a swim that day and still make it to the weight room. The structured workouts is what I needed to develop better technique and endurance and enjoy my swims more. It's addictive. Not bad for a near drowning age ten to joining the Navy 8 eight years later and only swimming on my back or treading water. I wanted more. Last year the thought of running a triathlon got in my head and I started going to my club's pool to force myself into swimming. Now I'm a swimmer. The water is only place where I have real 'me' time and where I can plan for challenges and learn to over come them.
