  4. This summer when the pools were open i decided i wanted to swim. I swam on an everyday basis for three months, took only 3 days off.
    Had an older guy as my coach, a soviet guy, he's 77!but such a good mentor.
    Swam for 3,4-5km every day. Crazy, brutal programs.
    In the end i was proud by my results. Remember i never really swam before. All results are short course 25m.
    Could do 200m breast without taking brakes
    Swam 1750m freestyle with a pool buoy, breaking my record.
    Swam 400m freestyle fairly easily, i think my record was 800m
    Didnt learn how to start off the blocks, but pushing off the wall, did:
    50m free – 27. 5sec
    25m free – 11.7 sec
    25m Butterfly – 13 sec
    50m breast (43 sec) really suck at it
    25m back – 14. 5sec

    17 now, looking forward to swim even more and improve when the pools open, never lost motivation of working out ever since!)

  6. How exactly did u swim for charity because I'd like to try. A friend lost her son to cancer. She's always trying to do stuff for research and aid to the cause. I already swim about 2500 meters a day 7 days a week. I'd like to push myself while supporting a great cause. Please help me.

  9. Its funny we have a swim challenge in our tri club going on right now. Started nov 23 rd ends dec 23rd to see who can swim the farthest. I am at 30k right now however some guys have already passed the 60k mark .

  15. I averaged 4,000 meters per day for 30 days straight! Could I do more, sure! The goal was not about pushing myself to failure, but rather to commit to swimming 30 days straight. This is something I've never done before. In college I did up to 14,000 in one day across two workouts. I'm much happier now averaging 2,000-3,000 meters per workout! Happy Swimming :)

    I miss swimming.

  17. I picked up swimming after surviving colon cancer in 2017. Since then I do 2500 to 3000 meters breaststroke every day. I used this channel when I learned swimming and kept on using this channel for all the tips to swim faster and better. It helped to keep the cancer from coming back, and miraculously, a few small tumors that survived the chemo in 2017 disappeared after 1 year of swimming. Now I can't stop swimming!

  20. You are making swimming in to a chore. "I got to do this…I got to do that,," It may be nice to make something that is a job into something that is pleasurable but I can not see taking something that is a pleasure and making it into a job.

  22. I swam 50km/month for more than 1 year. This is not every day swiming, but still It was super fantastic! I literally felt improvement on every 100meters after every month.
    Pools closed? – huh, I bought a wetsuit – great expirience.
    Even 1-month-covid-brake can't stop me! I lost a bit lungs capacity? Huh, ok, hold my beer, 2-3 weeks recovery-chill-swiming and I will gain my lungs capacity back!
    Nothing can stop me! :D
    On my next vacation I will deffinetley try this challenge! :) :) :)

  24. In my city of : Saranda , Albania there is no swimming pool… we train in the sea and we can only train in the months of summer or spring… i miss swimming

  27. Been swimming daily since august. I started weighing 216 pounds and now weigh 190. Swimming is the best way to loose weight in my opinion.
