OOOWee I used to swim as a kid. became a Lifeguard. well I had endured cancer. The chemo took my quality of life. Man I ache all over. I have slipped disc in my neck. I also have lower back issues, then my hip started to hurt bad. I got mad and said F*g this, so I started back swimming. Its been 10 days and I feel GREAT ! I go everyday regardless of rain, cold weather. Love the video. so I said I guess I better brush up on my knowledge of swim.

My night time/sleeping resting HR drops by 5-10bpm after a good swim. It only lasts 1 night and happens everytime.

Just started swimming again after many many years away from it! I typically run 3-4 days a week and have not been able to lose a pound in over a decade. One week of swimming has transformed my life again!! My appetite is through the roof after I swim as well!
Yes I』m 66 and been swimming the past year 3-5 times a week I start off swimming with a snorkel for 30 -40 laps then I』m working on getting stronger in swimming on top of the water doing 5-6 six forms of swim. I do feel more strength in the rest of my day and way less body ache
Ive had bad days on the bike and bad days on the track. Never had a bad day in the pool.
Wondering why breathing technique is hard to manage while chest crowling. I train very hard though.
It strengthens the muscles and ligaments, and cardiovascular system. but you need to combine it with some sort of weight bearing exercise, to keep the bones in good shape. Personally, I'm going for the farmers walk, carrying buckets of ice home each evening. I'm struggling by the time I get home, but if it ever gets too easy, I can go for the pinch grip.
