  1. Virginia shut down until June 10, but no word if that is just parts or everything. We (Virginia Beach) are not allowed in the Chesapeake Bay or Ocean to swim. :(

  8. Hello everyone,
    I am very grateful that I have been one of a very few people to be able to swim this week. I have not swam in six weeks and this is the longest I've ever gone without swimming since 2005. It took a great deal of discipline to not push my distance (I'm not very fast, I swim my 50's on a minute and my 100's I can hold 1:40 if I'm pushing it and 1:30 if I have fins on. LOL). My first day I kept my distance under 1,000 meters.
    When everyone gets back to swimming, I'm sure everyone will feel a fresh connection with the water and likely feel so happy the way I did when I first entered the water.
    I am grateful for the swim community, this channel and others like it. Everyone has been a source of optimism for me. I hope that everyone continues their dry-land training as I had; this will immensely help you. Keep your chin up, reflect on your goals and stay happy!
