Hi. I am using Apple Watch series 3 with cellular. I find this watch accurate in recording time and length I swim. It also counts for pace. The best feature I like about this is I can receive and do make calls from this watch even when in pool. I am a doc and sometimes do get calls at odd hours so I need to be connected always.
Hi. How it detects when a lenght of pool is done? You have to tap the screen or to tap the pool wall? Also it have monitoring for sea swimming?
Im using the same app on the same watch and I did 5 x 500 m in a 25 m pool. It didnt count all the distance. It seems it goes into some power saving mode ( Even if I dont activate this option). I have tried everything and nothing works

Can you let me know which swimming goggles you are using?
I can recommend Moove Now. I think it is ideal for a swimmer because it extremely light and record all your workout without getting distracted by a screen (it is screen-less). You can have an overview of your workout on your phone later. It tracks laps, calories burned, chronos and most importantly, it recognises the kind of strokes you swam! It costs only 60 $
